Athletes Friendly Education partners meet online
Partners of the transnational project Athletes Friendly Education (AFE) met online for a fruitful second partner’s meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2020. Funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, the two-year project looks to promote the dual careers of athletes and focuses on the support of innovative educational approaches and good governance in sport, in relation to the objectives of the EU policies in the field of sport and in pursuit of the objectives from the EU Commission Guidelines on Dual Career of Athletes.

With the current coronavirus pandemic limiting travel across Europe, the project’s second meeting was held online, with all partners present.
Following an overview of the project’s current activities, various tasks and reports on the different work packages were discussed, as well as the implementation and realisation of each. The promotion and dissemination of the project’s aims were also discussed, including the launch of the project’s website.

Partners are confident of continuing their tasks and meeting their deadlines despite the current global health crises and will be in close virtual contact ahead of the project’s next online meeting, scheduled for May.
